Shark Tank Biomecânica 2026

Do you have a scientific project but are not sure how to bring it to life?

Do you have a research idea but need support to develop it?

In response to the challenges of balancing research with clinical practice, the SPOT Biomechanics Section launched the Shark Tank – Research and Biomechanics initiative in 2022 during the SPOT National Congress.

The experience received very positive feedback, and we are delighted to repeat the event this year.Researchers and clinicians are invited to submit their research proposals by 30 September to spot@spot.pt, using the application form provided.

A panel of national experts in the fields of Biomechanics and Biomaterials will review the proposals and offer guidance and support for their development.

The six best proposals will be selected for presentation at the Shark Tank – Research and Biomechanics event, which will take place during the SPOT National Congress on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, in the afternoon.

Participants will have the opportunity to receive mentorship and practical support from researchers, laboratories and institutions working in their area of interest, ideally within their geographical region whenever possible.

The best proposal will be awarded €5,000 to help advance and develop the project.
